The green grass has grown a bit but some of it has died because we haven't had enough follow up rain so we are still praying for rain!!! Some is forcast for the weekend but there are still a few days of 29 to 30 degrees between then and now.
Blackberie and Fruitie (mother and daughter) are still on the front lawn waiting to calve they are both due around the begining of May and there are about four in another paddock that are calving in May also. Delight and her calf ( we called him Hilite, pronounced highlight) are now with Ebony and Henna but Delight won't let that red haired girl play with him as she is very protective. Henna is dying to play with this calf that is her size as the others are much bigger than her being a few months old. In the meantime she loves to play with us, she is a very friendly girl that loves a pat.
Delight and Hilite most likely will be for sale in the very near future as will some of the other cows that are calving in May so I will post them on the for sale page as soon as we have decided which ones we can bear to part with
Cheers G
