We got reasonable rainfall in August but a lot more since September started, it has rained every day. Yesterday and today we have very heavy gales again but so far nothing like June thank goodness! This last week the grass has begun to grow quite quickly, it must be spring!
This last week I have been busy sorting out the fruit trees some of which are starting to blossom. We got several Pink Lady apples given to us from an organic orchard. They are mature trees and were pruned back a lot and we helped dig them out. Its so exciting this week they are starting to grow leaves and the flower buds are swelling. I wonder if the parrots and possums will let us have any fruit this year. We will have to take most of the fruit off this year anyway so they can put their energy into growing a good root base but at least we can enjoy the blossoms.
Catch you later, Gillian.
